Jackie says, “Hair color can whisper, talk or scream the discretion of the colorist. The hair color procedures that Jackie offers are as follows:
•Base color — also known as all-over color or full-head coverage, is the same hair color
•”Breaking the base” – also known as “shifting” or “tweaking” the base, this procedure is a five-to-ten-minute color procedure where color is added to the hair to shift the existing color to a new shade. It is a very quick and easy procedure.
Both of these procedures can be just as beautiful as a color change by themselves or become the canvas for a highlight technique.
•Color correction – This procedure is performed to “correct” existing color that the client is unhappy with. Color Goddess has a ‘golden rule’ regarding color correction – the quality and condition of the hair will directly affect and control the end result! Jackie requires a consultation for color correction procedures.
•Highlights – This technique is performed to add a color lighter than the existing hair color to strands of hair. It can be done in one specific area or all over the head. Foils are often used to achieve this effect.
•Lowlights – This technique is performed to add a color darker than the existing hair color to strands of hair. Again, it can be done in one specific area or all over the head, and foils are often used to achieve this effect.
•Ombre – This trendy technique features darker roots and lighter ends. Ombre is performed using the same tonal palate and can look very natural or can utilize different colors for a bolder effect.
•Balayage – This technique is performed by the colorist sweeping color through the hair strands without using foils to achieve a different look than the traditional foils. Also known as “hair painting”, the balayage technique offers more flexibility on where the color is placed.
Jackie is always available for a color consultation for a nominal fee. This fee will be discounted from the first hair color service. Contact Color Goddess today!
